Sheep (Using waste ear buds)

Materials required:Cotton ear buds,glue,cardboard sheet and Ice-cream stick.

  • Take a cardboard sheet and cut it into oval shape (for sheep body) and round shape (for sheep face)
  • Cut the cotton bus alone from the ear bud.
  • Paste the bud on oval shape cardboard which is for sheep body part and arrange it by layer by layer like concentric circles. Now take round shape cardboard and paste the bud in single layer.
  • Draw eyes and nose with marker. Then paste the round cardboard on the oval shape cardboard, as you see in the picture.Fix an ice-cream stick like leg of the sheep. You can use double side sticky white tape.
(Note: Use white gum to paste the buds on cardboard)


Lord Ganesha

Materials required: 6 waste CD’s, 3D outline, glitters, glue, Marker.

Steps:
  •  Take 3 CD’s, cut it into equal halves using scissors, 2 pieces for crown; 2 pieces for legs;2 pieces for ears, keep it aside.
  • Now take a CD and paste those 2 pieces of crown CD vertically.
  • Arrange those cut CD’s as show in picture and stick it with glue gun.
  • Use 3D liner to draw outline, leave it as such to get dry for 15 to 20 minutes. Draw another layer using glitters or you can use chamki to decorate
  • Draw eyes using black marker side-wise as seen in the picture.Wall hanging Ganesha is ready to fix on wall.


Ice-cream stick wall hanging
Material required: Ice-cream sticks, pearl/acrylic colors, glue, wool flower and paint brush




Steps:
  • Take 6 stick with equal size and shape
  • Arrange 3 sticks diagonally first, take another 3 sticks which intersect each other as shown in picture. Mark the intersecting points with pencil so that arrangement won’t get disturbed.
  • Place some glue on intersecting points to stick those ice-cream sticks. Wait for 20 minutes to get dry.
  • Paint the sticks with dark shade acrylic colors and dry it. Paste the wool flower at the center of the wall hanging. Instead of wool flower you can use clay flowers or artificial flowers.
  • Use double side sticky tape to fix on wall. Also it can be pasted on doors and windows.


Coconut shell flower vase
Materials required: Coconut shell, pista shell flowers, acrylic paint, thermocole sheet, knife, toothpick or ear bud stick and glue

Steps:
A. Coconut shell painting
  • Take waste coconut shell and peel our all fibers found on shell, after that scrap the shell with knife for making smooth surface, this step makes easy to paint the shell else you will find patches on the shell.
  • Use brown or maroon acrylic color to give earthen effect for the coconut shell, after painting the shell keep aside.

B. Pista shell flowers
  • Take chart paper and cut it into round shape (bottle cap size)
  • Arrange the pista shells on the chart paper, only one-fourth of the shell fixed on paper rest of three-fourth should be faced outside so that it will look like flower petal.
  • Apply white glue on paper and paste the pista shell. It will take more time to do single flower and be patience to fix a petal in clockwise pattern because the shell might have different size.
  • Once it get dried, color the shells with acrylic or pearl colors. Use black color at the center of the for pollen effect, take time to paint the shells art and pollen part separately.
  • Toothpick can be used for stem of the flower, instead of toothpick you can also ear buds stick (cut the ear bud alone) and take small quantity of m-seal for fixing the chart paper and stem.
  • Make it small balls for each flowers, fix on backside of the chart.
  • Slightly press the m-seal so, it will adhere to chart and take the toothpick, slowly insert into the m-seal ball. Gently give some pressure around the balls for perfect adhesive of toothpick and chart paper. Leave the stem for some time to get fixed on chart.
  • Now cut the thermocole sheet as per the circumference of the coconut shell and paste the thermocole using white glue. Paint with the same color used for shell so that the sheet color will be merged with coconut 


C. How to attach the coconut shell and pista shell flowers
·         Both the shells are ready to attach, arrange the flowers in circular arrangement. Pista shell flowers are inserted into thermocole sheet. Make a note that background thermocole sheet shouldn’t be visible.
·         Take another thermocole sheet and cut it into square shape for the base of coconut shell. Paint with different color. Apply some glue on the thermocole using glue gun and fix the coconut shell. Now the coconut shell flower vase is ready for display.I have done with two model with different colors.

Pista shell wall hanging

Materials required:Corrugated sheet, pista shells, acrylic colors, m-seal, brush and glue gun.

Steps :
  • Use white acrylic colors to paint the pista shell for flower and copper color or brown color for vase, as usual coat with 2 layers of paint.
  • First arrange the shells like flower vase pattern as shown in picture and paste with glue gun.
  • Take small quantity of m-seal, make it into tiny balls and give slight press on balls to make flat structure to fix center of the flower. Once it gets dried, paint with orange acrylic color using thin paint brush. For pollen effect, make tiny dots using black acrylic color.
  • Draw single stroke using paint brush to connect flowers.
  • Make a hole on top of the sheet to hang on nail or use white tapes to paste on wall.

OHP sheet torans
Materials required: OHP sheet, glass color, scissors, scissors, Marker, 3D liners, jewel making rings and bell pins.

Steps :
  • Take any desired picture of your own (may be print out or free hand drawing), trace the picture on the OHP sheet using OHP markers. Be patient to trace with marker. I had drawn multiple pieces in single OHP sheet to avoid wastage of the sheet.

  • Use 3D liner to draw an outline on traced line and keep it to dry for 15 minutes. Fill the gap using glass color, for better look coat with 2 layers. Keep the sheet to get dry for 30 minutes.
  • Cut the drawn picture from the sheet to make a single piece. Make a hole on OHP to connect rest of the pieces using bell pin.
  • Open the ring using jewel making player and insert the ring into the hole on one side of the picture and another end to another picture. Now close the ring tightly using player. I made 7 pieces to make torans. You can try upto 10 to 12 piece to make a single lengthy  toran.

(Note: you can straightly draw using 3D liner without using markers)


OHP wall sticker
Materials required: OHP sheet, thin brush, scissors, pearl colors, and double side sticky white tape.


Steps :
  • Take any desired picture of your own (I took butterfly shape), trace the picture on the OHP sheet using OHP markers. Be patient to trace with marker. I had drawn multiple pieces in single OHP sheet to avoid wastage of the sheet.
  • Fill the gap using pearl color, for better look coat with 2 layers. Keep the sheet to get dry for 30 minutes. After 2 to 3 coats use black color to draw outline.
  • Cut the drawn picture from the sheet to make a single piece. Use small scissors to cut the picture for perfect figure.
  • Paste the white tape on back side of the picture, so that it will be easy to fix on wall.  You can make small sized butterflies for beautiful look.

Husk painting wall hanging
Materials required: husk, glass outliner, fevicol, water, color palette, zig-zag scissors and cardboard.




Steps:
  • Take waste cardboard sheet and cut in into rectangle shape, use zig-zag scissors to cut 4 sides for different look.
  • Draw an outline using HB pencil. Put few drops of fevicol in a palette, add few drops of water to fevicol to get thin and mix it well using paint brush. Apply a layer of glue on cardboard without touching the outline.
  • Sprinkle husk on glue and dry it for few minutes. Repeat the step for 2 to 3 times for embossed look. After that hold the cardboard vertical position and tap it to remove the extra husk on board
  • Apply glass outliner for outline to make emboss look. You can use saw dust or tea dust instead of husk for different look. Paste glass paper on the cardboard and make hole for wall hanging.

Homemade greeting card #1

Materials required: cardboard, acrylic color, glue, waste magazine paper, scissors and 3D liner.

Steps:

·         Take waste cardboard, pain with black acrylic color and cut the corners with zig-zag scissors.
·         Take a sheet of magazine paper and cut it into petal shape. Paste the petals on top right and bottom left corner of the chart.
·         Copper color 3D liner is used to write on chart.










Homemade greeting card #2

Materials required: cardboard, acrylic color, glue, waste cotton scissors and 3D glitters.

Steps :

  • Take half black chart and fold it into equal size and cut the waste cotton into small pieces.
  • Draw a santa face on the chart. For and santa hat use another cardboard, paint with red color and paste above santa face.
  • Using 3D glitters outline of santa face and hat can be drawn. Paste the cotton on the beard part and hat part. Star stickers can be used for decoration. Greets are written using glitters.
  • Cut the front part in round shape, where you can view santa face alone. For better look, paste a glass paper on the front side.
  • Copper color 3D liner is used to write on chart.


Homemade greeting card #3
Materials required: Dry rose petals, chart paper

Steps:
  • Peel large sized red rose petals and keep the petals in between a newspaper for 2 days, till it get dry.
  • Fold the chart into 2 sides, front side we need to arrange the petals.
  • Arrange the petals in a pattern on chart and paste with glue (don’t use too much of glue), connect the petals with paint.
